Minecraft Kinect Mod
Many mods have been released since the release of Microsoft's Kinect. Many of these have been Minecraft related and this one is no different. However, this mod is much more impressive because it enables you to insert yourself (or your cat) into the game. As you'll see, it isn't perfect, but it the monuments it creates in Minecraft are gigantic and epic. The colour matching isn't too bad either. I hope they release this to the general public so we can all try it out.
Conway's Game of Life in Minecraft
Check this out. This is a massive simulation of Conway's Game of Life in Minecraft using logic circuits built out of redstone wire and redstone torches. Each cell in the video calculates how many neighbour cells are on and decides whether to stay active (or "alive") or turn off ("die"). Each cell can have 0-8 active neighbour cells. Every cell is 13 blocks wide, 16 blocks long and 35 blocks high. It takes 2 to 6 seconds for the cells to calculate the next stage in the game.
The game works like this:
If a cell is active and has 2 or 3 neighbours it stays alive.
If a cell is dead and has 3 active neighbours, it will turn on.
Otherwise, the cell dies.

3 Year Old Playing Minecraft
Here is an impressive video of a 3 year old named Brady playing Minecraft, or as he calls it the: "Badguy Game". In the video he shows off his inventory full of items he has either mined or crafted and explains to his mom what he's doing in the game. They should start a series! No, he should actually go play outside with the other kids.
